We've done two days at Diamond house CL near Lincoln and are having a pub stop at The Crown in Hutton le Hole tomorrow. We are planning to use our van as much as possible this year
Sadly, we haven’t been away this year yet! Our first trip is usually February half term but I am so busy at work at the minute that I doubt I will be able to take even a day or two off. I have booked a week in May and am hoping that we can get away before that but realistically, that might be our first outing! I am currently planning our 4 weeks in the summer though so that is something to look forward to!

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Away in March after our van has its service.A week near Hay on Wye. Then when we feel like it. 6 week Europe trip in June, ferries and Red Pennant booked ACSI purchased.

Once the weather warms up I have some work to do on our caravan before we can even think of using it. Even if I didn't have the work to do we never normally put the battery back on until there is no more risk of frost. Our finances dictate how often we can go away, so we make sure we only ever go away when it's warm enough for us to enjoy it. Our "season" is from April to October, excluding school holidays.
Just had 10 nights in Lanzarote. Does that count? Seriously, i would always take an awning (porch), especially in winter to protect the door, and store the wet boots. Not been away this year - despite having TWO bloody vans at present! Bought a second - larger van on impulse the other week. Got to service and - hopefully, offload the 2 berth now.
Hi
Am away local at blackbrook caravan site Derbyshire for 3 nights from next Tuesday.
Half term week and granddaughter keeps asking when we going away lol

At one time when we were still working we may have gone away at this time of year, but we would have flown to southern Spain.
Same as us, Colin, except it would have been more likely Lanzarote

We once had a timeshare in Southern Spain, that is why we went there, but I totally agree about Lanzarote. Anywhere in that region would be great if we could still afford it.
We were away in February at Moffat
We have a lot more places to go. The main places we are going are as listed but we will stop for a night or two on the way to and from the faraway places
March – Monifieth
April – Abbey Wood
May – Broadway
June - Betws-y-coed
July – York
August – Monifieth
September – Perth
October – Ayr
November – Moffat
December – Keswick for Christmas
A total of 94 nights away.
------------- We camped for years. In 2019 we bought an Elddis Avante 454. We like it as it is short (6.9m) and fits in our driveway and has a fixed bed.
We had 127 nights away in the caravan in 2023.
Still way too early for us to be even thinking about making any plans. Far too cold and looks like getting even colder next week.
At the moment I'm waiting for the weather to warm up so that I can make some essential repairs to our 31 year old caravan, so we can't even think about caravan holidays until that is completed. Can't see that being before June.

Impressive planning! we’re very last minute & go wherever for the good weather or for interesting events.
Interesting choice of places…. We love Woodland Gardens at Carnoustie, prefer Blair Drummond to Perth (Scone CCC, presumably), Moffat has interesting history as a spa town & I live near to Ayr: it’s a good base for day trips (though Culzean has the edge for its sunset views to Arran) but oh! the town where I used to work is looking very sad these days - though the beach is superb.
I’m just back from 6 weeks in NZ with family, but I don’t think that counts. Saw many dozen hire MHs on the ferry over to South Island; I hope they all got back to North Island in time for their flights home, because the Cyclone’s 4-6m swell cancelled many days of ferries (including ours).
A day of all things motorhome and campervan. The show is held both in the main indoor arena and across the grounds. Catering, hot drinks and food options are available. Easy access to the site and free parking included. Win one of five pairs of day tickets
