Live in Yorkshire. Going into hospital knowsley Liverpool. Does anyone know of a campsite that has a kennels / day care for my dog while my husband is visiting me ?

I live in Liverpool and I am assuming you are going into Whiston Hospital. The problem with this area is that there are hardly any campsites. The one recommended by marg6 is the one that most people use when visiting Liverpool but it is over on the Wirral so to get to Whiston hospital is tricky. Public transport would mean several changes and by car would mean driving across the Wirral, through the Mersey tunnel, up through the city and out the other side of Liverpool to the hospital. You may be better to look around the Southport area as although it is further away, there is a simple route down the M57 to Whiston. I have never looked for sites in that area but look anywhere along the route from the hospital up to Southport, for example, there may be something around the Formby area. The CMC website suggests there is a small CL site in Melling which would be very convenient but there are no toilets or showers.
Lyons Farm at Melling, stayed there years ago. The owner was very helpful, he will know of somewhere I'm sure. There is also a CL at Prescott but know nothing about it. That is the one that Marg6 mentioned.
