We stayed with friends at a lovely campsite last year where every pitch had its own hut containing a loo and basin.
This was an excellent set up for us and we're wondering how many of these there are and whereabouts they are (it isn't something you can search for anywhere).
Does anyone know of a campsite (for tents) with this facility, and if so, where is it please?
Thanks

In Europe pitches with private toilets & showers is quite a common thing, we stayed at one last year in the Netherlands and it was great.
There are some UK sites but they don't seem to be as common, and the ones I have found are generally on hardstanding pitches. As we use a tent this isn't practical for us.

A quick google search for 'campsites with private sanitary facilities' will give you a few options to look at.

Not many, I'm sure as you know that sites usually have facility blocks. Hope you get lucky. Or get a caravan.

Sites with private loos is a topic that crops up occasionally, and if you use the search facility you may find previous posts and possibly suggested sites.

https://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/chatter/search_form.asp?ReturnPage=Thread&ForumID=4&T........

Be warned the search facility is a bit clunky, and you may need a few variations of search terms and which forums you search before getting results!

TBH, I've never been on a site with that facility, and no recollection of it offered on the sites I've looked at but never visited, which must total into the hundreds! Has to be said I don't go looking for them as carry and use my own facilities in my well appointed caravan!

They do seem to exist but in very rare numbers. Questionable how much demand with so many Caravans/MHs and even Campers with onboard facilities. When I used to tent camp, I had my own Porta-Potti, as do many other tent users, so no need for me even in a tent!

Good luck.

Well I must admit I'm surprised to hear that there are any, I've certainly never come across one. I seem to remember someone else recently asking about sites with private facilities, so this is only the second time I have even heard of such a thing.

I bet the pitch fees would be high, certainly well outside my budget, as they must cost a fortune to set up, especially if they are plumbed in to drainage, even a local septic tank.

I have yet to come across C&CC and CAMC club sites that offer own facilities as in toilet, washbasin and shower as part of a pitch.

I have only come across them in Europe, and perhaps once or twice in UK.

Google is your friend as they do exist apparently.

Blimey. I hope the site staff clean the pitch toilet between bookings, could be pretty gross otherwise. At minimum wage, that might be reflected in the fees, but I could be wrong.
As has been said, the topic has cropped up before so it’s worth searching. But I’ve only been to several hundred sites in uk & not come across any yet. Only seen them, passing travellers’ sites.

been on a site in Spain that have them, they build a block of 4 toilets in a square , and they serve two adjacent pitches, plus the other two pitches at the back of those 2 , and so on
we wern't pitched on those, but they did look good, but about half as much again in price.

Perhaps a slight tangent on OP original request - what about a Toilet Tent and Porta-Potti? Own facility on your doorstep, and acceptable on just about every camp site that has a CDP. A bottle of Sanitizing Hand Gel deals with hygiene (it's good enough for Portaloos at events!)

We've used them for years prior to getting the caravan.

As to emptying the waste tank, use the right purpose made chemicals and it's no where near as unpleasant as it may first appear, not pretty for sure, but no unpleasant smells and contents sterile and safe. 100s of thousands of caravaners and MH's do it without any problems. Depending on how heavily used, it may only need emptying every few days, so not necessarily a daily chore.

We have come across a few in UK in recent years. Try Google searches and am sure some will come up.

Often its hiring a private loo in a block for which you get a key. But also some
with individual facilities
.I.e.
South Lamb CL near Carlisle
https://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=21037
No tents as a CL - we paid £28 including unmetered electricity - and yes facilities were kept immaculately clean by owners.
