Hi, we want to take my elderly mother on holiday, but she wont stay in our caravan and won't want to "get in the way" so we are looking for a nice caravan site with B & B accommodation on site - preferably coastal no more than 2hrs from Gloucestershire....any ideas

There’s a section called “pubs with campsites” in the specialised site listing. (That’s not sites that have a pub.) I had a look at where I know, and one entry was a hotel (wouldn’t suit us as the site is ‘no dogs’) and another hotel site was tents only, not MHs or caravans. But it’s worth a look in your area.
Failing that, many small town sites aren’t far from a hotel (Google maps will show them), just not adjacent. Small towns like Gatehouse of Fleet, Dalbeattie, Kippford, Portpatrick, Castle Douglas, Kirkcudbright all have sites & hotels that are close by, just not the with the same gate (Dumfries & Galloway generally).
It’s a lovely idea BTW. We used to camp with non camping friends who’d all stay in a static on the same site, but that’s an expensive option for one person.
A bit late to reply, but as I want sure when you were thinking of going, thought I'd throw site in the hat... https://www.poolefarm.com/Poole Farm CL is absolutely perfect.
We've visited twice now, with us in a caravan and friends in the B&B. The owners are awesome, the site is perfect and fully serviced with loo/shower/washing machine/food delivered to pitches by owners.
Can't recommend them enough.
It's in Launceston, Devon so not sure about the travel time
Best regards

What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it's all about....?
