I have unexpectedly found myself with 3 weeks off in the summer holidays and think it would be a good opportunity to take my 11 year old daughter on a road trip. I would go to France but her passport needs renewing and I doubt it will be back in time!
I was thinking of doing the A470 Cambrian Way from Cardiff through Wales, via Snowdonia and back via a different route (we live in Devon) and would be really grateful for any VERY budget friendly campsites in nice spots, and suggestions of nice places to visit. I'd like to keep it as cheap as possible as we are on a tight budget (same as everybody else currently!)
We have a CombiCamp TT that we can just flop out and put away easily for stopovers if that makes a difference, so sites would need to be accessible while towing it and fairly level. Thanks in advance!

Did tour of Wales from the north to south last year, from Teesside, keeping close to the coast. Rowan nr Conway, went on Woodland Coaster near Betsycoed, loved it - like a rollercoaster but you control the speed thru the woods, you get 3 goes at it, so your confidence increases.
Favourite site Pantmawr Farm nr Aberystwth, only 2 nights there, wanted to stay longer but had onward booking.
Pyscodlyn Abergavenny flat site, friendly people. Happy to give more details if you're interested.
I’d try renewing her passport asap. Some are getting them back after 3 weeks now. Online is quickest. If you just want cheap sites in France you don’t need to book anything & you can book a ferry only a few days in advance.
------------- Every day should be a holiday!
