As the years roll on, my wife and I are going to try another year of tent camping. But should we find out that we can no longer find the setting up and packing away every time, we are thinking of trying the Ready Camp tent option to allow us to continue experiencing the flexibility of camping and enjoying the time away.
Has anyone had any good or bad experience of camping in this way.
Thanks in advance.

Haven’t tried the Ready Camp option but the only difference with other glamping options is in the amount of kit they supply (or you have to bring) & how basic or luxurious it is. A poky timber pod with kettle & BYO sleeping bag on a wooden platform at one end of the spectrum (plenty of independent sites have those, good for lightweight touring). At the other a heated bell tent with four poster, carpet & fairy lights & its own shower & in its own field. Or shepherds huts on wheels with log burners, in between (and I’ve seen several sites with those now).
It’ll be grand! The Ready Camp tents that I’ve seen certainly look roomy for 2 with pleasant sitting out space.
Just a thought… may be put on less popular parts of the site, but I’m only basing that on a site I know well. The ones at Culzean CCC are right at the back on pitches that no one wanted, because they’re in the shade with none of the sunset views of the sea that make that particular site a pleasant one to stay at. But they might be an exception.
We have never stayed in one but had a nosey at the ready camp tents at the Derwentwater CCC site in Keswick last year and they looked pretty good. They are in a nice area at the front of the site and seemed large and well equipped.
We tried the ready camp ones in the C&CC site in Sandringham in September of last year, quite enjoyed not having to take too much. The bed was comfortable, but we took our own sleeping bags. There was quite a bit of space inside and a large verandah to sit out on. From memory, the cooking equipment was OK.
You still have to use the shower block and have the middle of the night walks to the toilet, but overall we quite enjoyed it.
