Has anyone been here? It looks ok on Google maps but no reviews on here or on C&CC. I know it has 16 amp ehu, so that"s a good start, and fast response to my email
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Threw me there, Mrs B, took me a while to suss it was Wootton not Woonton. Anyway, I couldn’t find any reviews either! - but they have a FB page with lots of helpful photos & text. (I’m not on FB but you can access their pages.)
Looks fine unless you have a cow phobia.
Thanks Fiona, didn't occur to me to look on FB. No cow phobia, there tend to be lots on the kind of sites we use. We once drove on a road in Wales which literally went through gated fields, had to shoo a herd of cows away at one point, then I realised one was a bull, I moved pretty quickly!
Well, it looks fine, so will probably form part off a trip I am thinking of for later in the year.
You’re heading off very soon on your Scottish expedition, Mrs B. I hope you & Mr Sky B have an enjoyable trip. The bluebells are looking glorious (they’ll be where deciduous woodland is or was in the past) & the Rhododendron varieties are coming into bloom in the gardens & estates. Unfortunately that means the purple R. ponticum will be flowering soon too, out on the moors. Tourists love them, but land managers & ecologists loathe them once they’ve jumped the garden wall into the wild; rhodie bashing barely controls it. It’s been the driest April on record, you can get sunburnt in May so don’t forget your factor 30.
Thanks, yes, off on Sunday. We went to Achil Island, Co. Mayo a couple of years ago, it should really be called rhododendron island, to say there were too many is an understatement.
