CAMC app says it’s been subject to a renewable short term lease for several years; Council plans 190 homes; April & May bookings may be cancelled if the landlord gives notice. There’s also regeneration construction going on outside the site, they warn, so there’s noise.
There was a proposal to put a new site on the A369 Portishead road just off the Cumberland Way flyover. As yet they don't have planning permission for the flats and there is a huge amount of local opposition to the scheme.
It will end sailing in the harbour as there won't be any way in for the wind if it has any southerly component in it direction. Sailing is only easy at that end of the harbour due to the buildings further up. East of the Great Britain it is very tricky.
Also it will remove the last space for trees or any grass near the harbour. May as well just concrete over the whole lot.
