Can't review as I didn't actually stay there but visited for work (mower-related 😂) but if you need somewhere nice to stay near the NEC, I'd recommend c&cc's Kingsbury Water Park site. https://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=1603
Close enough to get a taxi to the NEC if you were in a motorhome, but in a tranquil location near the canal with good dog walking etc. Plenty of other things to do nearby too. Level pitches both grass and hard standing,, nice setting with lots of trees but also open sunny areas, heated facility block, very friendly wardens. Several pubs nearby. Only 35 mins from us but would definitely give it a try or recommend it to friends/family.

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Thanks for this.
Speaking personally, it would be more useful if you could copy this onto the reviews for the site itself. I use the Site Search tab a lot to find sites, rather than forum messages, and your comments would be really helpful there.
Thanks.
There is an adults only campsite with 5 star facilities which is located not far from the NEC which is shown in the link below.
Click on their website and read the reviews which mentions being perfectly located for the NEC.

Unfortunately, UKCS don't allow reviews of sites that you haven't actually stayed at.
I can see why some reviews would/could remain relevant even without an overnight stay, (I tried it myself a few years back) but rules are rules I guess, and I can sort of understand (and certainly accept) their reasoning behind it.
I haven't stayed at the Kingsbury Water Park site either, but only because I live near it! It certainly looks lovely though.
The water park is beautiful and there's a visitor centre with a nice cafe and a kids play area about a half-mile walk or bike ride (all off road) from the site.
Trains or buses to NEC from Coleshill Parkway (parking £3/day) might be a cheaper alternative to taxis.

NEC parking is very expensive, £16 last time I went(2019)! It was cheaper to catch train from home.
When we stayed at Kingsbury in 2018, my wife dropped me at Hilton hotel roundabout and collected me. She didn't want to go to the Classic car show! She then had the car for herself.

We got very lost in Kingsbury Water Park and were rescued by a very kind lady. We parked at the end of a cul de sac and did not realise to start with that we were in it.

Parking is free for the Caravan Show but not for other shows! Apparently you could pre book and use one of the airport parking for less.
We are 40 minutes away by train, last time I went from home it was £12 return and no busy M6! No brainer really although the train was pretty full.
