I fly kites, big kites, BIG KITES!!!
I am after a toy field to play in.
I would like a hill top caravan site, we can easily do off grid for a weekend. Toilet block is nice but not needed.

As I live in Brum I was looking at the Peak district area below Sheffield, either side down to Stafford.

Where can you suggest?
Camp site that takes touring caravans for a weekend.
Peak District,
On top of a hill or mountain top.
Not so many trees and certainly no over head power lines or pylons. With a big camping field or a field near by I can play in.

What do you suggest?
Pete

Many campsites do not allow flying kites and drones etc, so I would look for a site that has a hill or Clifton not to far from the site.

My thinking too, many sites ban any 'flying' device on their land, too high a risk of damage to, in all senses, campers if/when it crashes out of the sky.

Mostly thanks to Drone incidents I believe, I've seen more and more restrictions in recent years on flying anything in 'populated' areas.

If you want Peak District on a hilltop with amazing views, then I'd recommend Rowter Farm Campsite which is above Castleton and opposite Mam Tor. You won't be able to fly the kite from the camping field itself, but the site is surrounded by open fields with public footpaths criss crossing them, so you'd for sure be able find a suitable place without walking more than a hundred yards.
