We have a wedding invite in Aberdeen in July .
From here it would mean 2 overnight stops .
But I can’t find any sight close to Aberdeen . We don’t want big commercial type but need facilities and ehu x
Any ideas appreciated .
We may not go yet but I would like to think about it .

Deeside holiday park. Sure it’s quite big, but pitches are separated by hedges so it doesn’t feel big. And it’s only for 2 days. You can walk to a bus stop into the city, or get a short taxi ride because you’ll be in wedding gear. You’ve got to go inland or along the coast a fair bit (beyond 15 miles) to get smaller sites.
Just check one thing if you’re planning to drive to the wedding & reception: I think Aberdeen now has a Low Emission Zone, or might well have by next year. Do check the city council website. Unlike English ones (£12 a day or whatever), if your vehicle is too old to comply, it’s a £60 odd fine, doubled next time then doubled again at the third time you come inside the LEZ boundary. We had to get a newer car when the Glasgow one came in a few years ago.
I stayed at Deeside a few years ago, it was ok but pretty expensive. I've also stayed at Hillhead at Kintore which has a small area for touring vans and tents. It has EHU and toilets/showers etc and is around 15 miles from Aberdeen. Decent enough for a short stay. It's been a while since I searched but there weren't that many sites in the Aberdeen area, Deeside and Hillhead were the nearest I think.

For getting to a wedding, in finery, I’d support the Stonehaven suggestion. I’m comparing the walk then bus that I’ve done from Deeside, to the suggestion of the train from Stonehaven.
Load up the ScotRail app; train 3 times per hour, £7.00 single ticket.
