Does anyone have any info on if this site is still in business? They claim to be taking bookings now but there is never any reply from the phone number. There is no website or email address?
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Don't appear to be open until March, so maybe no one monitoring phone/email etc. yet! Sadly not too unusual with sites only open part of the year!
To be blunt, if camp sites are obstructive in being contactable/don't declare when they are truly open for business (and that mostly means having their own informative web site!), then I move on to others that are more user friendly, and effectively 'black list' them from possible future use! Life is too short to waste it on uncooperative people who are after all, out to take your money!
The website given on Google is the UKCS one. No FB activity. Suggests to me that they’re old fashioned (I mean that as a compliment, not a criticism).
There are relatively recent reviews. You could write if you’re that keen, or keep trying the landline phone at different times of day or give it a week - the only time site owners can take a break is out of season (now), if they run the site themselves.
Thank you. I appreciate your valid points. I don’t object to “old school” communication methods. It’s just puzzling and a little frustrating when the only means of communication is a phone number that is not manned. I’ve tried practically every day for the last few weeks to no avail and there is no message service. 🤷🏼♀️

As per my previous post really, they may well be taking their holiday break out of season, but no excuse for the only means of contacting them simply going unanswered! A simple answerphone message stating "We will start taking booking enquiries after xx date" is ALL it takes, they don't have to accept incoming messages, just INFORM people!
I've nothing against 'old style' camp sites, in fact probably would like it, but really not very tolerant of businesses (and it IS a business!) that have disregard for customers!
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
