Hey, Hippy Chick, you're not the only ones to live in your 'waterproofs' down here! If you ever see another pair of looneys in them, walking a black labrador, that's us!!!!
Great attitude not to let the weather ruin your sacred Cornwall time - love it!
We are very lucky to live here. We've not always lived here. We used to holiday down here (although not actually Bude) all the time, fell in love with it and decided to up sticks and move. Best thing we ever did.............and now we have our motorhome we nip off regularly for wonderful Cornish weekends, without having to travel too far!

we got back from penzance last night. had a great fortnight.
set off back at 10.00am yesterday because of a severe weather warning and it took us till 8.00pm last night. 10 hours.
the a30 was a nightmare.we must have spent 1.5 hours in a traffic jam.
you can't miss the place, it says dual carriageway goes into one lane 400 yards ahead.wot a nightmare. all the n*bheads trying to pinch an inch in the outside lane caused tailbacks for miles.
i now know why it's 18 years since we went to cornwall. nothing changes same old jams.
other than the journey home we had a great time. fantastic place, just like i remember it.
stayed at wayfarer just outside penzance. nice, clean, tidy site with spotless toilets.
Way to cure that is pull into outside lane alongside the back vehicle on the inside lane and run parallel to them! Stops the idiots shooting down the outside lane and makes the traffic flow again.
I am so going to miss hearing of lorries getting stuck under the bridge. It was quite the laughing point in our house during the summer. For all its well signd height etc the drivers still thought they could get under it.
Myself, my wife and 3 kids are heading to Bude holiday park for 7 nights Aug 4th, and then heading down to Hayle, Atlantic coast caravan park for another 7 nights. Looking forward to it.
We went to Bude for a few nights last month, but we left a day early because of the wind and rain. The kids enjoyed it until the weather battered us.
