We were at St Ives Bay first week in June. We've been loads of times and wind is constantly a problem. Lost one tent and had some serious damage this year. Having said all that, it is a tremendous site. We try to pitch-up in the 700's where you can see the sea and Godrevy Island. You'll love it!
