What is it with the uchaf in Anglesey/ North Wales campsite names LOL

I know it means high but surely not every campsite is on a mountain.

Even when we caravanned on a farm in Abergele when I was young it was called Tyddan Uchaf17

Many thankyou's are owed - and my grap of the English language is getting more better each day - so maybe now I will try to use some of these sites in the warmer months of the year next - as now its too cold for camping even here in the south east !
