Well the locals are lucky they live so close and can travel easily in to see the olympics.    I would hope that the caravan club would be quite responsible about setting everything up properly though and not cause a nuisance to the locals.

I'm sure most of the locals would be happy to move the olympics closer to where you live, the olympics is already causing disruption as the transport system can hardly cope with normal levels.

There will be no easy travelling to the oympics for most people, if you want to camp I'd recommend the sites in Epping forest but they may be fully booked already.

Any temporary site will have awful facilities, ok for caravans with their own ablutions but not great for tents.

I feel sorry for anyone who stays in temporary sites by Gravesend, transport into London is very bad from there. I live close by and cycle into London as it's the quickest method. Between 7-10am and 4-8pm the trains are already standing room only most of the way in and the tracks are at maximum capacity, how are they going to get all these extra people on?

On top of this various routes or lanes are being closed for olympic VIPs only so forget driving, coaches may be viable but when traffic is gridlocked (as happens already) bus lanes are useless.

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
