£45 . We use C&CC CSs at around £10 per night, no clubs, swimming pools etc. but shower & toilet facilities (and that was high season last summer school holidays).

im booked at hexham racecourse that weekend now for about 30 a night has park on and lovely views think thats avarege for that weekend wifes at work on the sunday so tied to a local site that weekend.
Ouch works out quite dear. I like to look at £20 a night for three children and myself, so that two and two plus a dog. that way we can have around four good holidays and several weekends. but at £45 it starts to get a heck of a lot less.
another bug of mine is add ons. pitch, per adult, each child, puptent, awning, dog, BBQ, they will next be charging for sunny day premium, use of showers/Toilets when just cleaned and fresh, and for bringing take away food to pitch. it should be like Park price theirs, cost of pitch and what you fit onto a 7x7 area. cant get the car on ?? set up and park it in the carpark and walk the 100yrds.
Always feel sorry for those with kiddies and the cost of their forking out & without the entertaining of the kids if pouring with rain as they do not seem to go out in it like we did as kids. Never in, was the days we had.
I too feel sorry for them.
However, and please don't anyone take this amiss, we do (self included) by and large decide to have children and you have to cut the cloth as to what you do according to budget. I am assuming here that there's no major disability/illness of whatever type that means kiddies can't play out in the rain, etc. - or supervising parents for that matter!
The trouble seems partly to have stemmed from a mixture of the enormous growth of health & safety issues; blame culture, primary school outings in the outdoors, parental time to spend with children through financial stresses/economic situation and the lack in some cases the ability to say "no". And it is much much harder for those living in more urban environments than those of us who have had a rural/coastal location. I mean, you can go rockpooling in almost any weather; you can learn to fish together in the pouring rain, so if the budget has to be cut, try a different tack.

i,d happly let them play out in the rain my kids arnt to fussed about massive parks just a big field were they wont get wrong for running round and making a noise . a park is a plus but bats and balls from the pound shop keep them happy for hours.i,ll pay up to 30 quid ish per night but i think this park is very expensive hence i wont entertain them again.

Have you found any decent Park Resorts sites? A few of us went to Waterside and it was dreadful - we've never risked them since.

alas Southminster does attract a certain type, its a nice area but the fact is its lacking in social manners at times (not always) I am sure there are many other areas the same. I am fortunate to know the area and would never go there for any great length of time. its a case of doing lots of groundwork before booking a break.
I am booked into Walton on Naze and although I know the area I would not consider staying there for any more than a night or two and esp not on a bank holiday period.
its quite simply a matter of Horses for Courses. and anywhere within an hours easy drive of a majour city esp a known socially lacking area has to be researched first for a good time to be had.
plenty of quiet places but "all singing and dancing" attracts a certain type. Just as the Costa Brava does and yet within ten miles from the beach its very nice.

it has nothing on it just field with ehu toilets and showers but it is close to home and as wife has to go back to work halfway through didnt want to go far.there price was £8 per night per person even the kids and £5 per night hookup.ive booked a few for this year around 20 30 quid but these have park pub and shop and one has a pool. northern crew its high hermitage caravan park near prudhoe, jasmine park are you the jasmine park camp site or is that your name lol.
£5 a night hookup even the camping & caravan club is £3.55 per night and they do have facilities. I know it depends what season your going in as the prices always go up in kids hols disgustingly so. But they do have family concessions but have to go onto the web site to see how much as we get age concession out of kids time off. Where is it Mayfair Parklane or what?

£45 is way over the top!! We've just booked 7 nights at a C&CC site in August (2 adults & 2 Children) Total £172.90. That works out at 24.70 per night inc EHU(3.55 a night) , & our eldest can have his pup tent on the same pitch for no extra charge(some sites charge for that).
I think Campsites should look into their prices now, as more and more people and looking at camping. Most I look at and for Pitch, 2 Adults and Car. Can they not see that most people have either 1 or 2 children with them. Maybe they should have a price for a family that would be so much better instead of having all the extra's.
