It would be great if you could have a search facility when looking, even if it was only basic ie less than £15, £16-£25, and greater than £25 it would give a guide of what it could cost.

Visit Llandrindod Wells! Great scenery, walks, cycling, red kites. Ideal for exploring Mid Wales.

We did Brylea last year ( myself with three young children).  Did a recce of the site before we booked - when we arrived we were given a nice level pitch with plenty of space, but it was a Bank Holiday weekend and on returning to the site from a trip out - there were tents so close to us on either side that there was nowhere for me to park the car, the tents continued to arrive and were crammed in around the field with two bigger groups of adults with teenagers who seemed to think that the  middle of the field was theirs for the using to play frisby and cricket until wayyyyy past 10.30pm without giving a tinkers for anyone else - it spoilt it for me - it was a nice site until I started to feel like a sardine ( could even hear the people in the tent next to ours moving around on their airbed and we had to resort to whispering in the morning incase we woke them up!)

Llandrindod Wells, Wales ideal for walking, visiting the elan valley, watching red kites. Great for getting away for peace and quiet.

Good idea. Its getting more and more difficult to find the cheaper sites. We are members of the C&CC so many of their certified sites are cheap but I do think they are getting harder to find. What is good about the C&CC website is that you can see at a glance how much the prices are.

We are a family of four and aside from our "main" holiday we like to do lots of cheap weekends when we can. We have a small tent and our own facilities. We dont want a club house, play area or anything other than a tap and somewhere to empty our chemical toilet. All we really want is somewhere quiet to pitch our tent so we can get a good nights sleep when we have been walking or biking. If we have to pay £25 a night then we cant justify these weekends away.

We are looking at the C&CC Temporary Sites this summer as many are less than a tenner, just need to find the right location!

I like it when people mention prices in their reviews as this helps if the site doesnt have a website. No point in ringing them up and then finding out they are way over budget.

I always mention prices as it matters a lot to us. Nearly all my reviews of UK sites are for CLs or CSs. Some are very good IMO.

Lot of CS's are under £10 a night and as said this is clearly indicated on the C&CC website which you can access whether you're a member or not. You can also look at the location of the site in Googlemaps so you can see any roads etc.

For those who dont already know, The sun are doing the camp for 1.00 per night offer. Collect the tokens from next week (1 per night you want to camp). I think they are valid from 7th Sept until Oct 22 or thereabout.

Im definately going to use them for a long weekend in Sept.

Any idea what parks are participating in this, particularly in the Hants/Wilts/Dorset area?

We have some time off booked for Oct and didn't plan to go away but I think I might be persuaded now......
