I'm not sure how far a two-year-old will really enjoy the sort of facilities provided by these large sites. In my experience, at that age, they simply want lots of attention from Mum & Dad, maybe a few swings, a sandpit or nearby beach and space to run around. Or maybe 2 year-olds these days are very different?

My advice would be to look for a quieter site for this holiday and save the all-singing, all-dancing ones until your little one is a bit older, when you will most certainly meet with the dreaded 'I'm bored' attitude and will be driven to look for somewhere that offers some sort of entertainment programme.

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!

Re Searles, as has been said the vans decribed against the sea wall are nothing to do with the site. That is the near the back entrance to Searles and yes, those vans don't have much of a view!

I wouldn't worry about flooding Romany Girl. We were on Searles a few years ago over new year and there was a storm surge warning in place on a late eveing high tide. Throughout the day there was a police car on the site entrance making sure everyone was aware and site staff were visiting every van/pitch and leaflets dropped through letterboxes. We were made fully aware of the risk and where we had to go if we were evacuated...in the end the defences were not breeched. You'll never be in a situation where you're left to make the decision to leave yourself...you'd be forced to evacuate well before any surge!

Given it's history that area is obviously closely monitored.
