We too have been going to Anglesey for years, and are seriously considering moving there,
You and me both. I've been going to Anglesey regularly since 1997 - I've just come back from four days there and will be going again at the end of the month. If I could afford to move I'd live there, I love the place.

I love Anglesey and have been trying to persuade OH to move there, but it would be a big upheaval. It may yet happen if Luton airport dramatically expands. There is a detached house for sale (think it still is) near Holyhead for £117,000. Not quite right for us (saw it outside last year), but if you don't mind the previous owner living next door (and probably controlling the whole area), it may be right for someone.
Quite coincidentally I was looking in the window of the estate agents in Benllech the other day, some lovely properties for sale in and around that area. If I win the lottery though I think I'll just buy the campsite then I can camp all the time! lol
Blimey, I've just had a look on Rightmove and my favourite property at Trearddur Bay is for sale - now where can I get £550,000 from quick??

Hi,
We are also planning on visiting Wales for the first time this summer. Unsure of where to go we have come across a campsite on the loch near Bala which appeals as we love waterside camping.
Anyone been here before care to recommend it? Is there enough around the area to keep a 5 year old and a 2 year old entertained for a week or so?
Thanks.

we did Pembrokeshire last summer, we were amazed at the space and cleanliness of the beaches, even on a really great sunday it was excellent, would go back sometime, Camped near little haven at redlands , nice clean place but seems a bit of glossing over old stuff to make it look better than it is in the facility block ,Newgale is a stunning beach,.if that beach was in Cornwall you would not be able to move on there

After many years of toying with the idea and getting our finances in order,
We are at the point where we are making serious moves towards doing just that and Anglesey is pretty much at the top of our list. Not sure about camping on our own site though.
We have not long returned from Snowdonia and Conwy, stayed on a nice CL there, beautiful scenery across the Conwy valley, but for wider units, probably best to avoid towing through the walled town of Conwy itself, where the narrow gated ancient arches of the Castle are still in existance on all sides of the town walls.
There is a pretty little harbour, a water taxi/sightseeing boat that runs most days, and the larger town of Llandudno with its world famous Great Orme and cablecars and tram routes to the summit. Just to the south of Conwy are miles of clean sandy beaches, a marina with lovely privately owned boats of all shapes and sizes, and a nice pub or two along the estury and valley.
Further inland, you have excellent walking countryside, plus the scenic drives through the Snowdonia passes, with all their lakes and tourist attractions, and certainly enough to do to keep young and old entertained for most of their holiday.
