Wow, I'd love a job like that.....
We all think it would be an idyllic life - getting paid for what we enjoy doing. Until the reality sets in.....Joe Public on holiday wanting to "check his booking for August"... (at 9pm at night in mid-April) or someone knocking the door at 3am wanting you to sell them some gas. Or how about irate parents shrieking at you because little Sally has gone missing and why weren't we watching out for her..... (whilst parents were sat boozing round their unit all afternoon).

Yep been there done that my advice to anyone wanting to run a campsite is try being a warden for a season that normally cures them infact in most cases within about two weeks of the schools breaking up
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Use to live in slough outskirts and the countryside around is gorgeous!!!!!!!! and the River Thames from kingston back to its source is just stunning, Windsor,Maidenhead,Marlow,Cookham, Henley and many more between and beyond. So many historical places to visit you will be spoilt for choice! Only downside is rush hour ,but avoid that and it's great!
We realised our dreams this year and became site wardens for 6 months on a fairly large family run commercial site. We found the job through - http://www.caravan-jobfinder.co.uk Also both the big clubs, Camping And Caravanning & Caravan Clubs employ wardens.
Like Jenny has already said, you need to be really versatile, expect long hours (6.15am to 11.30pm with a 2.5 hr break on our last duty day), horrible toilety habits and stroppy people, but having said that we are loving the job and have no regrets. The nice campers really make up for the few un-savory ones.
Good luck with your search.
