Hi, agent pants,

Would recommend Caernarvon CC site, we stayed there last July, and it was excellent, booked for 3 nights, and stayed 5!.  You can walk into the town so easily from there,  and also there are loads of push bike rides.  I would recommend the little train that goes from very near the site, up the back of Snowdon.  We also stayed at Tredegar House in Newport a CC site, and again a lovely site. You can catch a bus so easily into Cardiff from the site, and at night the park is shut to the general public and you can wander around to your hearts content.

Hi Milkybar,
we haven't stayed at Carpenters Farm before , last year we stayed at Ninham for 2 weeks & a couple of years ago at Whitecliff Bay (both good family sites) we always go in the summer hols so I can't really say it was quiet. We had a look around Carpenters Farm last summer & it seemed very nice with extremely friendly owners who were more than happy for us to have a good nose round ! It is also very reasonable compared to other sites on the island, although it doesn't have a pool there are a couple of public pools nearby . To be honest our kids insisted we try this site as it has an elephant shaped slide!!!

Only book one 3 week holiday a year, Penderleath, St Ives, Cornwall. All other weekends away, of which there are many are booked a week in advance. Try not to go away at bank holidays, too busy.
