Not the weekend, but we went Monday to Wednesday to The Croft at Hawkshead, nice site, not too busy considering it is still the easter hols after all, 9/10 only because of the little bit of road noise (very early tractors!). And the Sun Inn in Hawksead is recommended for anyone with kids, no smoking and watch the world go by from the bay window.
Back at work now and already on here looking at where to go next!!

We went to Ty-newydd Farm in Uwchmynydd, near Aberdaron.
A very nice quiet, clean and tidy site in a remotish location with helpful and freindly owners.
The toilets and showers where clean, but there was only 2 showers so you had to queue up, plus the site suffers from poor water pressure so when a toilet is flushed the shower turns into a scorching trickle.
Also there are only a small number of pitches with EHU's so we had to manage without.
I would give the site 7½ out of 10 and I'm sure we'd go back in the future.

Stonehenge Touring Park. Lovely site, really relaxing. A bit damp underfoot mind. very clean shower blocks but VERY hot water. 8/10. Would go again, Claire
Just had a review published if you're interested in the visiting the area. Also had an email from the owner who has read the review and said I should have let her know about the showers ans she would have turned them down! Why didn't I (or any of the other campers) think of that. So disregard comment about the showers, Claire

Excellent, we are booked there in the summer, glad it's good!
whiskydry, if I'm correct you camp with your daughter? If thats right this is a great site for children with no siblings. My daughter comes with us by herself now as the teens are too independent. Our main concern is finding a site where she will be able to play safely with other children and I can't fault this site in that respect. Its small and we could see the play area and shower block from our pitch. I'm sure you'll both have a great time, Claire
Little Cotton Caravan Club in Dartmouth - 10/10 - lovely people, fab site, immaculate toilets, park & ride next door for a £1 all day up to 7pm, shop on site but Spar cheaper around the corner, I could go on forever..... definitely recommend it
We went to the Forest Holidays/C&CC site at Christchurch in the Forest of Dean. Had a wonderful time, will definately go back there sometime. We arrived on Thursday and it was quite empty, by Friday evening it was full! I give it 9/10 as the showers did not have a curtain separating the actual shower from where you had to hang your clothes - so if not careful wet clothes!

Dolbryn, Newcastle Emlyn. Stayed until Wednesday. Great Site, Fantastic Weather, Toilets & showers immaculate, free and never had to queue. Everybody well behaved, including the goats, the chickens, the rabbits and lambs - the ducks were a bit naughty though!.
Would give this site 10/10. Would highly recommend it, although is probably more suited to younger children, than my teens who are at that 'grunge' stage.
Stayed at Sherwood Forest Caravan Park in Mansfield, but went to look at the Caravan Club site at Clumber Park and was vwey impressed. Will be going this year. The weather was hot as well!
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
