Thanks again, everyone, there's a good list coming here.  The only thing that does concern me is that if cars aren't allowed and therefore tents are closer together - my husband's snoring!

He was only snoring quietly one night, and some woman shouted!  I thought it was part and parcel of camping, but she has really made me paranoid!

if a campsite has a policy about cars, it will have a strict policy about spacing between tents. for example, at doward park, there are set pitches. they're really big, and the space between you & your neighbour is massive!

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!

DLR69, that is a thing that concerns a lot of people.    I will lock things like my camera in the car when, and am happy knowing that they are out of site etc if I am going for a shower/to the play area etc.     Also know that the car is alarmed, I feel that even if somebody did see me putting stuff into the boot, and tried to break in, the alarm would at least alert my fellow campers.    If a car was in a distant car park this might not be the case.

BUT.....due to my paranoia, I would rather have my belongings pinched than my kids squashed!!

The most uncomfortable I've felt is being midway down a hill, worried that cars could roll down if the driver got out and left the handbrake off.  Also being VERY close to the track through the campsite!  Crazy, I know!

It`s not crazy at all sandydog, I think it`s a very sensible consideration,

For all those people dead against not being able to have your cars next to your tent as far as I see it sandydog just wants information as to where these sites are not a debate about the rights and wrongs about it. He/ she ( sorry sandydogs not sure) just prefers them that way they are not starting a pertition to make all campsites no cars next to pitches!!\ Lighten up for goodness sake!
