Oh Vicky, I'm so sorry! Better be quick and get booked in somewhere else... Bank Holiday Fever has obviously struck. How about N Yorks or The Lakes if Southern Scotland looks dodgy? I'll email you back in a little while with one or two from my virtual brochure...
4 to be going on with (all featured on this site):
Park Foot - near Ullswater
Rosetta - near Peebles
Woodland Gardens - Fife
Cayton Village - near Scarborough
North Wales is good for camping, had a great trip there with a mate a few years ago - Shell Island's been recommended to me and I've others on my list if you want them. (I stayed at Black Rock Sands which was great at the time but I gather it's a little neglected at the mo)
Hi, I've been to Brighouse Bay many times and never, ever found the facilities to be dirty. It's one of the cleanest, better kept sites that I visit. However, there is probably a blip on all sites at some point for whatever reason - please don't let it put you off, it definately isn't the norm.
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Thanks to Teeny and David ~ not going to let one negative remark worry me ~ really looking forward to it now!
Vicky ~ glad you got booked up sweetie ~ had a wee look at the reviews and the site looks really nice ~ relax a little and look forward to it now! Don't forget to drop me a line via our web-site if you want some info on the band and we should compare notes after our Scottish hols, eh?
Hi all - Vicky especially - hope you had a great holiday! Drop me a line...
We had a fab time at Brighouse Bay - can't fault the place and will most definately be returning sometime next year
I think there are probably enough reviews for prospective visitors to wade through but if anyone's thinking of booking and needs up-to-date feedback please add to this thread and I'll answer...
Looks like we're not going to get another camping trip this year VERY VERY dissapointed!
It's great isn't it - am pretty sure I won't find another 'all-rounder' like it either!! After camping for a number of years with a female friend I persuaded my husband (and 10-year-old stepson) that camping "was fun" I was petrified it would be disastrous but they might just be hooked and I have Brighouse Bay to thank!
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
