I fear that this is becoming the norm. I have three young children and NEVER leave them unsupervised for their own safety, don't get me wrong I do turn my back occasionally and think that they need to feel that my attention is not constantly on them so they get a sense of freedom while this is not actually the case.

I have stayed at a child friendly site where while sitting down in the tent to enjoy our dinner(due to the weather being a bit fresh) the children from the surrounding tents were playing football, no problem here cos my kids also joined in on occasion, however this time they were not and the football hit our tent, the kids apologised and I thought nothing of it then it happened again, then again, then again this went on for about 3 or 4 minutes till eventually I had to stop it and I took away the offending item with a gentle but firm request that they come and get there ball when we had all finished eating. A minor annoyance in the grand scheme of things but I have to ask where are the parents when this happens and why are they not doing something about it?

I feel for you Jakers and for the parents of the children that will be missing out on there play area, I for one am not a fan of play rooms as they tend to attract teenagers and that can be intimidating for younger kids and even some adults.

I would have to suggest perhaps CCTV as a deterent for this sort of thing in the future, no amount of paper obligation on behalf of the parent will prevent this as those that allow it obviously do not care, CCTV may make the individual think twice and if not it is all the proof you need to evict the offenders and in extreme circumstances even involving the police is an option.
