i think it might be wise to contact one of the clubs the c&cc or the cc then you will get a good idea. you wont have to be with them if you dont want but their standards are excellent.

they know what people want / need. a lot of people like the quiet camp sites. they are very popular if in the right location.

thanks - have visited a local C&CC site but the pitches were very close together and that isn't what we want.  We know when we go camping we want space and it was all a bit too modern and all they wanted to do was sell us membership!

Might have a look at CC but we are almost there in what we will do for the first year!
