I'm currently doing a Foundation Degree (2nd year, mature student ;)) and this questionnaire is probably part of the research project that has to be undertaken in the 2nd and final year. We are actively encouraged to undertake a pilot for the data gathering section. With all these adjustments and problems with the questions, I would imagine that the Op will revise her questionnaire accordingly, using your comments as part of the reflection and reasoning to justify the changes. If they don't then she might run into difficulty especially as some questions/answers are not fully answerable for some people ie seasons or counties.
Good luck with your research and course, I would be running the questionnaire again but using this first run as a pilot example. :)
Janice, thanks for explanation.
Even when you get to dissertation level(and I did BA tourism management as a mature student) getting questionnaires right is almost impossible, especially if one's topic is different - in my case, it was concerning how geology and landscape interpretation can enhance visitor experiences. Done at a time when loads of places in UK were looking at/doing interpretation boards/leaflets on geology trails through fantastic / odd landscapes and forms. It meant a load of hard work and I never got it right but did get a phenomenal load of info. (Aside from that, Foot & Mouth disease broke out and they had to give me an extension to complete and couldn't do a number of areas intended for public surveys.) All surveys/questionnaires are going to have errors - even the really posh ones! A dissertation is not just about results but about the issues and one's ability to criticise one's own efforts. I managed to get mine in on extended deadline with about an hour to spare (uni's computer system failed totally!!)- another potential hazard!!!
I may have only got a 2:1 for the BA, but I got a first for the dissertation and, ironically, because my topic involved contacting a lot of people who were lecturers at different Unis and involved in setting up the various interpretation initiatives, I had to send out copies (NOT cheap!. But was gobsmacked to have emails back from them saying that if I'd been one of their student's it would have got a first. So never, ever give up! Good luck!

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Done. Some answers were not a true reflection of my camping experience..too many closed questions.. your outcome will not be a true reflection.
------------- New Year: Hesketh Bank
Feb/March: Red Squirrel
March: lakes
June: Morecambe
Aug: Lake District(not camping camping)
October: Red Squirrel
However had to put I live in East Riding of Yorkshire, even though I actually live in North Yorkshire. Can't believe that it has actually missed off the largest county in England!!!!!!
I would hope that the original poster would come back and leave their comments about their questionnaire and also the results. Im just starting my research project (its an educational Foundation Degree, so not camping related sadly) and we have to produce evidence that we have undertaken a pilot questionnaire, what the feedback was and how the questionnaire was received as well. Then we have to make modifications to the questions if needed and even put the altered questionnaire out to the same people. Its the reflective aspect they are looking for as well as the actual data gathered.
I also found the questions very difficult to answer especially as their seemed to be very little link between the questions. For example 'would you buy local food yes/no' that could mean many different things, would you buy food that was grown locally even if the shop was ten miles away from the campsite, would you only buy your food from the local shop? Normally if you were camping you might have taken food with you or would you even have a tesco delivery once you are there from the local supermarket?
I think the original poster should come back and a)say thank you for those questionnaires completed and also b)say what is going to be done with the data and how the questionnaire might take into account the lack of options.
Currently the results will be incorrect as not all the counties in the UK are present.
