Hello - we are seasoned campers, but are a bit picky about where we camp. Has anyone got any recommendations for nice, quiet sites, without too many pitches, where you get loads of space and just the stars and the views (preferably pub in walking distance - but that is obviously asking a lot!) - anywhere near Midlands?
For example we love Fforest Fields, (smallish site, so quiet and peaceful and great for small kids to run around and amuse themselves), but we hate large sites like Brynich (you camp on top of the next tent, no space, everyone there like sheep all doing same thing - gives you claustrophobia as soon as you enter site!!!). We are not picky about facilities - good clean shower and loo is all we need.
Any sites that anyone has been to that are like Fforest fields please let us know - I've tried searching on this site, but often people say "Lovely peaceful site" but they have 250 pitches! Ahh - my worst nightmare!!!! Thanks for reading this blurb and any advice gratefully received.
