Hi Matty,

Haven't stayed at Nodes Point, but was staying nearby last year and had a wander through!! One, (only?) of the camping fields seemed fairly free form with tents all over the place......Didn't look too strict on the pitching policy, but I guess a phone call would put your mind at ease.

BTW

Loved the IOW and am jelous!!!! Enjoy

Hi

is nodes point the one where the campsite part goes down a hill to the beach and the caravans are perched above.  If not ignore!!

If so, we stayed in a static caravan there a few years ago and the facilities looked pretty grim in the tent field - which was right on the beach though.  We had had a prolonged patch of rain and the portacabins were overflowing....the only time I was glad to be in a static...

The camping did look very free form though can't believe they put a size restriction on

They were building them last year as I "walked through" so should be finished by now!!

Big plus for Nodes point is its walking distance to beach.....we had to take the car and the parking charges mount up over the holiday!!
