We have just purchased our first van and are really looking forward to our first trip. The trouble is I have no idea on how to find a good site. We do not want to travel far - we are from the North East Coast, so would like to be in the countryside with a river, maybe near to Thirsk or Pickering. I will be on the site on my own with the kids as my husband will be going to work so I won't have a car so a shop on site would be good. Any suggestions gratefully received. Thanks.

Not really my sort of site but we stayed here for a few nights some years ago. I believe the facilities have been updated since we visited and the area and village are nice.
