Hi there we bite the bullet yesterday and brought our own tent instead of borrowing one, so we could take our dogs, it is a royal memphis 5 and had a go at putting it up with 2 of us but it seemed to be quite tight to put the bedroom section in any tips? and also any advise on sites in kent area where they take dogs as we would like to go for tester run 1st may bank holiday thanks

Welcome to the addictive world of camping! Most new tents can be a little tight when they first go up. After a few goes it gets easier and you get more practiced in pitching it.
Use the campsite search on this site to find sites that take dogs, a lot do as long as they are under control so look at a longer lead and a screw-in spike. There is often a link to their website for more info. An average charge is £1 or so a night for a dog which is cheaper than kennels. You'll need to move fast to get a good site for the May bank holidays. Good luck!

We must be experts - we are out standing in our chosen fields!
We have booked somewhere close to us for 2 nights as a tester next weekend and we are all really excited, had another practise on putting the tent up today and have been gathering things for our trip, hope it all fits in the car, i bet we forget something though we always do!
Don't worry about forgeting something, there are so many 'bargain' shops around now, so if you forget an essential item you can usually buy one cheaply enough while you're away. Just enjoy
