Anyone been to this site this year?

Reviews say shower block was old but thier website says it was to be updated in time for this year so just wondered if anyone can vouch for this yet.

daveetwo, we have been to mill park in 2005, and it was a very pleasant stay, shower block was ok then. we had our 2 pyrenean mountain dogs with us, and they have a big field for them to run in, also a good area for kids with a swing over a small stream. only downside you have to drive to the beach, but a lovely eating house in berrynarbour in walking distanse, and we were allowed to take the dogs in, as you can

tell our holidays are centred around the dogs, thankfully kids have all left home!!!!!penny92

Just got back from mill park and am considering complaing, NO there are no new facilities unless you cout portacabins for the overflow field, the washing area is not re-furbushed unless you count paint, the shop which claims camping supplies only has the normal tat.  They also claim its spacious, i know we have a big tent but we where hemmed it, others said the same.  Its such a shame, this could be a super site.  New owners have just taken over so I guess improvment is coming!

Hiya daveetwo

Have you actually booked?  If not try either Napps (just outside Berrynarbour - but closer to the coast) or Big Meadow (next door to Napps!).  Just type in the site names in the search facility.  We've not actually stayed on either site but had a nose around last weekend and both looked good and very reasonably priced.  There's a nice looking pub right next to Big Meadow with outside seating too.  We actually stayed at Watermouth Cove Holiday Park, which was expensive (OK if you use all the facilities, ie 2 pools - full of kids!, private beach - no dogs!), etc., etc.  It had the most wonderful views though so that suited us, although next time we nip up to North Devon for a long weekend we'll stay on one of the above!  The walking from the site is lovely (on sunny days) to Combe Martin and Ilfracombe.

Good luck!
