We are booked into Hurn Lane CC Site in July. I have read on another forum, that there is no dog walk, and that walking in the lane down towards the beach is extremly dangerous due to speeding motorists. Could someone please clarify just how busy the lane is, and wether it is really that dangerous to walk the dog down the lane to the beach. We have been looking forward to this holiday as we haven't been to this area before, but are now put off by the comments I have read on the other forum site.
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
I have been to Hurn Lane. Usual CC standards. The lane outside the site is not busy at all, in fact just a few yards down the lane is some twisty bends that cannot be negotiated at speed. We have a lively GSD and walked her down every day, across the road and through the dunes onto the beach. You pass a couple of static sites on the way and we never had any problems at all. Go on enjoy yourself and dont worry.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
