A couple of friends of mine have booked up to go here this weekend. I can't find any reviews, comments or anything about the site...................... does that mean what I think it means?????
Any help would be appreciated.

hi we went to this site last year, if you dont mind being packed in like sardines, dont mind paying 2.60 a pint, plus dirty toilets and the miserable owner driving about in his top of the range land rover looking down his nose at you with his dog running about behind him go for it, one last thing the smell of the pond in the middle of the site .
Hi DizzyDi, we went on the UKCS meet last year to Akebar Park (it was our first meet) we loved it, thought it was a great site, although we were on the rally field. There was lots for the kids to do, never went in the pub, we were told it's not very "child friendly" in there. The only other thing was the showers, you need to buy tokens for them and I heard the water is quite hot, never bothered us as we use the facilities in the van. But we had a wonderfull weekend there and have booked up for this years meet.
There are obvious mixed reviews, apparently when she rang and booked they 300 touring pitches available and only 100+ have been booked I think this speaks volumes especially when everywhere else is fully booked.
She is trying to get me to change my booking from Parkfoot at Pooley Bridge to go there ................... don't think I will!!
I'll let you all know what she thought when she comes back.

Please do Di, I am interested to see if the site has cleaned up their act as well, I had a bad experience last year, and its quite close to me, so would like to go again !! if its improved that is.

my m8 has been down again asking us to go with them..................... i feel awful but i'm not going to go, we like parkfoot also. this may sound cruel but its their own fault for leaving it to the last minute especially when i told them weeks ago to get booked up........
