Hi

Does anyone know of any reasonably priced campsites that take touring caravans??

We're looking to go around the Broad/Little Haven areas but some of the campsites are as much as £39 per night. We have an awning and 5 children, and the dog. But when the price is shown for a caravan and 2 adults, you have to add all the other charges like...extra for electric hookup, extra for the awning, extra per adult (all our children except one are teenagers) extra per child, extra for the dog etc etc. It comes to £39 or £40 a night.

I thought someone might know a cheaper site with electric hookup. We are rarely in the van, mostly on the beach in the day,

Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks in advance

Hevsym

Hi,

If you join the Caravan Club, you can use their CS sites - this stands for Certificated Sites (the Camping & Caravanning club have the same ones, CLs, Certificated Locations) - hope I've got that the right way around!  Anyway ... it means that small sites or farmers fields, large gardens etc are licensed to have 5 'vans on their site. the minimum they must provide are a tap and chemical disposal place, but loads provide loos & electric hookup and they tend to be a flat rate per night - £10 etc. The C&CC club have a few in Pembrokeshire with electric, I've found that out by having a quick look at a website that features certificated sites (try typing that into your search engine!).

Good luck!
