I wonder if anyone could help.  We are looking to go to the Lakes for the Bank Holiday.  We quite fancy either Great Langdale or Low Wray (National Trust).  the National Trust campsites do not take bookings.  I know it's a daft question, but if could anybody tell me (from experience) whether they expect pitches to still be avialable first thing Saturday Morning - or at a push last thing Friday?

It may not be the site you hoped for but we had to cancel a booking for 5 units at a Lake District site it was:

They were charging us £15 a pitch including electric hookup.

It sounded really nice but we've got illness in the family so couldn't make it. It might be worth trying them to see if they've still got any availability. None of us were arriving until the Saturday morning.
