Just arrived home after quite an eventful weekend to say the least lol.

The Campsite was lovely and would definitley go back again, the staff were great, the shop was well stocked, the toilets were very close by, so not far to goin the middle of the night, and met some really nice people, every one was cheerful and friendly until.............. SUNDAY!! OMG!!!!!!.......... sat inside our tent it felt like we were on the top of mount everest, the wind and rain was diabolical, we took it in turns Sunday and Sunday night through to monday on guide rope duty making sure that everything was well secure and well intact, The kids were so scared we were all gonna blow away , we ended up joining two rooms together and all sleeping together , which ended up with us all in giggles for most of the evening and not much sleep.

There were a few tents that evening that didnt make it through the night unfortunately and after standing outside in the middle of the night trying to hold down a fellow campers tent in the gale force winds and torrential rain, i felt like i was holding a yachts sail in a huge storm., so now I can guess what they feel like.

Alas we are all home today in one piece, safe and dry, just a little worn out and thinking i wish  I didnt have to go back to work tomorrow. XX

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!

We were also there over the weekend but gave up early evening sunday due to having a river running under our tent (we were in the bottom field near the walk through to the forest) we were all so cold and wet , such a change from saturday when we all got sunburnt !

That'll be a bank holiday weekend then !!

Still apart from a few minor leaks(must get some Fabsil) we got through it in one piece unlike others you mention.

Everythings dried out now......until next time !

I know what u mean about the change in weather , we burnt Friday putting up the tent, then burnt on the Saturday whilst we were out cycling around the forest, and blimey thats another story in itself lol.

Roll on end of June , we were heading to the Quantocks again for a weekend break so fingers crossed weather will be a little brighter.
