Im planning a trip to lakes and love the position of this site.Reviews suggest facilities are not too good.I like basic as long as its clean.has anyone been there recently and can they give me an up to date review on showers,toilets etc.

didnt camp at the site but had a wonder around The toilet block was basic but nice and clean i think you have to walk up to the cottage to get a shower which isnt far.

the field is down a nice little lane which is at a dead end so no traffic

spoke to owners seemed nice plus you dont need to book

Was the main camping field picturesque?I remember walking by years ago but cant remember what the main field was like.
