Does anyone know how far Gallaber Park is from Long Preston? Is it in walking distance? We would want to go out for an evening meal without having to drive.

It would probably take about 10-15 minutes to walk.  Well worth it if you are going to eat at The Maypole - fab food and not badly priced.

Thanks for the info.  I went to Long Preston with work a few years ago and got taken to the Maypole for lunch.  Fab.  One of the reasons to go back for a night in the area.
