who thinks i am mad, aleady booked for sherwood forest this weekend and not sure whether to still go.....dont mind if it rains but will the field be waterlogged?..anyone been there when its been rainin?

your not mad at all my friend, i spent many wet years in sherwood forest when it rained heavy, i used to get rev .tuck to carry me through the large puddles of water.
thanx for your replies, we had a great time sat outside the tent in t.shirts till midnight drinking the vino...car rally at sherwood did spoil that a bit,but the weather was still good,whilst the rest of the family at home were having thunder storms and loads of rain.lol.
You've always got to go for it regardless of the forecast
We've had a fantastic weekend in the Peak District - my mum rang us up the first evening panicking cos she'd seen on the news there were floods "Don't go anywhere near a river" she finished with - didn't dare tell her the campsite was surrounded by a river!!
