Hi I ve just booked into greenhill site near Oxford and would like to know what there is to do with three children 8 12 and 15years. I like to hear what people would recommend as you get a truer answer, my children like adventure parks castles museums and interactive things, we will be going to lego land and I was thinking of a day boat.

Hi!  My father-in-law lives near Oxford & we'll be staying at Hardwick Parks, Witney during the August Bank Hol.

Blenheim Palace (Woodstock) is well worth a visit as is Oxford itself.

Hope you have a great time!

We were booked to go to Lincoln Farm Park next week but due to injury at work we had to cancel. To add insult to injury a brochure arrived yesterday from the Oxford tourist board (which we had sent for).Anyway I would recommend you send for one as it gives a fair bit of info and map of oxford as well.Try www.visitoxford.org hope this helps...regards

You've got to take them to the pitt rivers museum.

Its in the town centre (use the park and ride if i were you!) its free and its like no museum you've ever been to!

just pop it in google for a link.

p.s.If you need any camping gear whilst your in oxford theirs a go outdoors next to the c&cc club site.

regards simon.

Cotswolds Wildlife Park makes a good day out http://www.cotswoldwildlifepark.co.uk/

Cogges Manor Farm is good for a morning or afternoon and the tea rooms are great http://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/wps/portal/publicsite/councilservices?WCM_GLOBAL_CONTEXT=http://apps.oxfordshire.gov.uk/wps/wcm/connect/Internet/Council+Services/Leisure+and+culture/Museums/Cogges+Manor+Farm/

This is the Oxfordshire Council site that will also have other things to do.

Hope this helps!

Hi

Im glad you brought this topic up as we are going to Green Hills next weekend and I was going to ask the same question so now I dont have to.

There does seem a lot to do, the Wild life park will be the place for us as my daughters not even 2 yet but she loves her animals.

Thanks

Jayne

There are three park & rides around Oxford, it's an amazing city & when I get there on a day not connected with my work, I intend going around it on an open top bus. It has a main rail link so you can go anywhere with ease. There's a lot to be enjoyed in the city & the county.
