Not sure why one review mentions road noise as the whole site is set back from the road, if you stopped what you were doing and listened really hard you might pick up the sound of the odd car going by but really not an issue for us. No play area when we went a couple of years ago but I believe there were plans for one, other than that, there is loads of space for kids to play. Also, swipe card entry for pitching area and modern toilet block. 2 minute drive to Long Preston for excellent grub at The Maypole inn.
