we are planning our first camping trip the first weekend in july .but want our trail weekend to be not to far away, so a nice site with all amenities and maybe an entertainment , but having nice weather would compansate that....but nobody can guarantee the sunshine...

Woodhouse Farm nr Ripon is a really nice site. it has a park in the middle of a really big field where plenty of room for kids to play ball games etc. Facilites are really clean and it has a small gamesroom with pool table tv etc. There is also a small pub on site which does really good food. Some good places to visit near by is Fountains Abbey and Brimham Rocks.

Another nice site not to far from you is Cote Ghyll in Osmotherly nr Northallerton, no pub or entertainment on some lovely walks around and the village of Osmotherley within walking distance where there are a couple of pubs and a fish and chip shop which can highly recommend.

Happy camping
