Someone asked about places near Malvern - I've thought of some extras which I've noted there Also Sudeley castle in Winchcombe (nice Saxon town), where thingummy whatsit didn't marry Hugh Grant but the other one, if you follow me. Nice gardens.
If you like NT properties, there's Hanbury Hall, nice house and gardens; Snowshill (lots of collections, e.g. spinning wheels, how many does a girl need? can't say I care for it much); Croome Park (parkland only, OK but not spectacular) and Lower Brockhampton, one of my favourites, only a small tudor house, you can go round it in 5 minutes, but a nice woodland with various paths you can follow, ranging from about 1 mile to about 5.
Perhaps you should extend your holiday!

Forest Of Dean has a high rope adventure course called 'GO APE'- great for teenagers who want some adventure- not cheap tho'- about £25 per head. You could get a train over to Cardiff for peanuts if you have a railcard- Dr Who exhibition. I can also recommend Croft Farm, and you must have a walk up Bredon Hill- Iron Age hill fort on top where there was a large scale massacre- very atmospheric in the early evening. Pershore is pleasant and has some excellent retaurants- Jimmy Pickles and the Thai resturant- loads cheaper than Cheltenham. Watch out for parking in Cheltenham- v. expensive- use the park and ride!

As Mad Frank said, the boat ride to the fleet at Twyning is nice. Last time there we went they had animals and do food. Or a walk through town to the Bear ( Oldest pub in Tewks) on the corner by the marina, nice to watch the boats going by.
Stroud - ok, not the most beautiful town in the cotswolds but by far the best surrounding countryside and of course the ultimate Farmers Narket every Saturday.
But then I'm probably biased.

Seriously, it is going to take a long time to dry out, still waiting for more water to come down from Wales- if you are thinking of coming here in the next week, think again.
We really feel for you guys! It must be a living nightmare? We were lucky enough to visit your beautiful town back in May of this year, so watching places familiar to us under water is heartbreaking.
Good luck in the days and weeks to come.
