If you have well behaved pets that dont bark at all, are kept on leads at all times and you pick up any deposits what impact am I having on the unit next to me - none whatsoever!
If campers have issues with sites that allow dogs there are sites that dont allow dogs that they can visit to avoid any inconvenience?!?!?
Oh and they will never have a problem getting a pitch on them as they will be like a graveyard complete with tumbleweed.
No just follow through what they all threaten on their websites by throwing out any owners who do have annoying pets, that would then hopefully prevent them from bringing any unruly hounds on their next visit somewhere else or the same would happen again and they will get the message. Don't impose rules and regs if you arent prepared to follow through on them, first thing my mum taught me!
Easy when you give it some thought eh?

I love camping more than I love Take That!

~But having someone removed from site is hassel too ? hence ,dog owners = hassel = payment .If you dont like it just dont camp ,were going round in circles
Well if you dont put the effort in, the few that ruin it for many will never sort their act out. Its like everything in life if its worth doing it requires effort and time. I wouldnt regard it as hassle I would regard it as fulfilling their end of the contract as they have stated in their terms and conditions.
You have to look at the overall charge aswell. Some sites charge a standard rate and say that awnings, dogs etc. are free but this can sometimes be more expensive than a similar site who charges for everything separately.
If you have no awning, you don't want to pay for one. If you have no dog, it's the same thing.
Even so, I must admit that if I see a site charging £2 or £3 per dog I won't go as it seems as if they don't welcome dogs with open arms.
One more point. If there is an area fenced off for a dog walk then the site is missing out on more pitches. They may have to pay rates for that area but it's not making them any money. I agree with the previous posts that if a site provides no dog facilities, it shouldn't charge for them.
