Try three rivers in clitheroe, i think they have fishing, also there must be some sites in cheshire , pickmere possibly.Or try advanced search on this site .

There's a campsite at Wyreside Fisheries which I think is Scorton/Garstang way. I'm not sure what the campsite ie like but I know (from my fishing-mad husband) that the fishing is really good.

I agree with i need sun Wyreside is very good plus excellent pub/bar they even bring breakfast to your peg go on their web site as they do have a few strange rules

Yes wyreside lakes is a good basic site,read the reviews as they are always a good guide.

Does it have to be north west? if not try Lakeside at Pocklington York fishing its head off at moment but ADULT ONLY

We've stayed at Claylands near Garstang a few times and they have a couple of fishing ponds - can't comment on how good they are though!

Think The Plassey at Wrexham has fishing as well - quick trip for you from Runcorn! Again can't comment on how good it is though!
