As the titel says. We never camped before and have kids. Youngest one is 6 months.

Living in london and dont drive. Looking for a campsight close to railstation on the coast. Planning to rent a caravan.

Any ideas and suggestions on good campsites and everything else to have in mind planning our trip?

Thanks a million!

Hi & welcome to the forum, what sort of thing would you like on site?  ie all singing all dancing or a quiet spot away from everything?

Hi!

A bit of mixed i think. Anything to keep our six year old happy. Maybe somewhere with a waterpark nearby.

Thank you!

Combe Haven in Bexhill is great for kids. West St Leonards Station is only about 10-15 minutes walk away. Trains go via London, St Mary Cray, Sevenoaks then onto the coast.    A Family railcard will save you a 1/3 of the fare. Combe Haven has an outdoor pool and an indoor pool and a shop on site. Have a look at the Haven website, however we always try to book when the Sun Newspaper offer is on as you save a little bit. We've just got back from a lovely weekend (4 days) there which cost us £85 for four of us, hiring a standard 2 bed caravan and including entertainment passes. Our 4 and 7 year olds love it there - we've been there about 6 times I think.

We camped twice last year in clacton's martello beach and lowestoft's kessingland with two kids and had a great time.  We are going to rosefarm campsite in yarmouth next week and it only cost £12 return from romford, essex by train.

Hope it all goes well
