We're hoping to take our first holiday to Cornwall next Easter and we would like any advice on sites please.
We'd like a 'proper' touring site with facilities for a family, not a site which has loads of entertainment and just a field for the vans! We've done Haven before and just found them too commercial, noisy and the kids there have no respect for the vans!!
Other criterias we've got is we have friends joining us who'll need to rent some form of accomodation, ie a static or chalet. And finally, in an area of Cornwall that has 'things to do for families'. ie Eden project, beach?
if anyone has had great experiences, please please please let us know. This'll probably end up being a main holiday for 2008, and it can so easily go wrong!
Thanks in advance!

hi deep meadows st agnes is a very good clean site very central to visit cornwall, or tollgate farm just outside perranporth this site has animal corner & you can walk to the beach very easy & both site have statics to hire out for your friends you can find more details on both site on the uk site search we are going to deepmeadows 26th july a fine site with good reviews hope you find somewere.
Have a look at Sun Haven Valley in Mawgan Porth. It has a touring section and also offers statics. There is a kids playground, an avary and a games room. There is no bar on site, but it is walking distance to the village of Mawgan Porth, with beach, pubs, shops, pitch & putt, and the coastal path. It is an easy drive to Newquay, Padstow, Perranporth, Eden Project etc.
We've been there twice for long weekends, and will undoubtedly be going back again next year.
great beaches, other attractions, drivable down to lands end, st austell eden project etc. egs of sites include polmanter, little trevarrack, see reviews on this site. The Alan Rodgers guide is v good with lots of reviews and info.
