The vendor isn't failing to deliver them - the purchaser has decided not to take them up.

If you bought a ticket to a sports event and didn't go would you expect your money back then? Unless I've misunderstood the campsite haven't cancelled.

My apologies, i got hold of the wrong end of the stick and yes, of course you are right

The site we use has a no refunds policy but it is in their T and Cs so I guess you have to check each site out as they vary so much.  We weren't allowed to cancel our fortnight but we were allowed to come home 2 days early without having to pay which was cool.
